Connective AI Learning Community for Educators

A unique opportunity to design and learn together with the Atypical AI team

What We're About

At Atypical, we focus on creating safe, fun, and science-based learning experiences. Our AI-native solutions are grounded in proven learning science, making education more accessible, equitable, and effective for everyone. We believe AI can be used to make connections across people, topics, and contexts, to support lifelong learning. To do this, we center the voices of educators and learners, building tools that create your vision of the future of learning.

Learn and Build Together

We invite educators to join us in exploring how AI can best support inclusive, connected learning. To do this, we are convening a core Connective AI design group, and a larger Connective AI learning community. Members will share ideas, try out new tools, influence our products, and imagine a future in which AI supports meaningful lifelong learning for all.

  • Engage in a WhatsApp group (or other platform) to discuss ideas you have about AI
  • Playtest tools with your students periodically throughout the school year
  • Co-create materials and resources for other educators about innovative uses of AI
  • Earn a stipend of $500 for the semester
  • *Note: This is a commitment to participate regularly and form a strong community.

As part of our Greater Connective AI learning community, you may:

  • Join monthly “book club” discussions on topics relevant to AI, social learning, wellbeing, etc.
  • Be available to give input and share ideas when you’re able
  • Connect with other educators thinking about and acting on these issues
